- The end of the Lincoln Center Corridor Mural.
In early 2008 the wall on which the mural was painted was torn down in the conversion of the pedestrian corridor into a motor vehicle way.
At the time there was an exhibition at the Furman Gallery at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center including two recent Moop paintings
and a framed photograph of the mural. The mural had a 29 year run.

Richard organized, moderated and participated in an Artists Talk On Art (ATOA) Panel on the subject of "word art." It took place on Friday, Dec. 2nd 2005 at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) at 6:30 pm.
Besides Richard the panel consisted of Sheila Levrant de Bretteville, public artist and director of graphic arts at Yale, and Nathaniel Mellors, internationally exhibited British artist. Nathaniel was unable to appear but had his material ably represented
by his author friend George Pemble.

LINCOLN CENTER CORRIDOR MURAL

A reception was held Thursday, October 7, 2004 at the mural celebrating its 25th anniversary.
- Richard's Moop 272 was accepted in the juried show of Art League of Long Island
at the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntinton, NY.
It won a cash award "For Excellence."
Juror: contemporary art curator (long at the Brooklyn Museum) Brooke Kamin Rapaport.

was awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant
for the year October 1999 through September 2000.

Tenri Biennale 2001, the 20th Tenri International Art Competition.
The exhibition took place in Nara, Japan, April, 2001.

One work by Ikuko, Quoddy Head 1, and
two by Richard,
including Moop 252, were selected by the juror
Howard N. Fox, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art
for theThree Rivers Arts Festival of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The exhibition took place last June 1 - 17, 2001.
Richard won first prize in the two dimensional category (for Moop 252),
the Outstanding Achievement Award, including a cash prize.
- Ikuko had a one person show featuring her European landscapes
at Galery Okabe, 4-4-5 Ginza, Tokyo, Japan,
November 5 to 10, 2001.
- Richard exhibited, one month of spring 2002, with the sculptor Mary Louise Geering
in a two person show at the MMC Gallery, Director Millie Burns.
The MMC Gallery is the exhibition venue of Marymount Manhattan College at 221 East 71st in Manhattan, NYC.
The title of the show was MOOPS AND GLYPHS.
- Ikuko had a one person show of her landscapes at
the art exhibition area of the Mercedes-Benz Manhattan offices and showroom
at 536 West 41 St., New York City.
It took place Sept. 4 through Oct. 17, 2002.
- Richard had a one person show at
the art gallery area of the Mercedes-Benz Manhattan
offices and showroom
at 536 West 41 St., New York City.
It opened on December 24, 2002 and ran through January 31, 2003.
