I had a larger space available for a while and decided to do a full figure painting of myself.    I wanted my figure big, to vertically occupy the canvas from top to bottom.  I was looking in the mirror to see how my figure might occupy the canvas this way, but I found the whole scene more interesting: me, the empty canvas, the rest of the view in the mirror, and the room with its window to the outside beyond the mirror.
